Niji No Conquistador – Futari no Spur PV Review

Released on December 7th 2017, this is the latest video to help promote the new full album “Rainbow Phenomenon”, released on January the 10th.

Overall, the video does a good job of helping the viewer feel aspects of winter – not the cold, freezing snow, but the warmth that comes from hanging out with friends.

As with many of the new Niji Con PV’s, narrative is lacking. In this case the environment and overall feel of the video nearly makes up for it.

It’s refreshing to see the group in a place where they don’t need to strip down to their bikinis, and it feels reassuring to see them back in a more traditional Japanese environment again. This really helps the girls shine, and brings out so many of the playful aspects of Niji no Conquistador that are core to the ethos of the group.

Even though the clip is set in a cold environment, it’s such a warm and charming video. It really feels like the girls were able to express themselves and have a lot of fun. That ensures that the viewer has fun, too.

Check it out.
