Tokyo Idol Festival 2018

Tokyo Idol Festival 2018 Dates Announced

The dates have been announced for Tokyo Idol Festival (TIF) 2018! If it’s as big of an event, or more so, than Tokyo Idol Festival 2017, then it promises to be an amazing show. As we draw closer to the event, we’ll continue to do updates and Idol profiles.

At this stage TIF2018 is planned for the 3rd, 4th and 5th of August 2018. Clearly, we’re a long way out from the line-up announcement, but it is time for some of the lesser known groups out there to start thinking about the Road to Tokyo Idol Festival. Here, Tokyo Idol Festival 2018 will announce three categories, which will be spaced out until closer to the beginning of the main event. There are three ‘doors’ or chances.

Up until April 28, 2018:

Who’s the Idol doing their best in Japan?

Regardless of whether or not they have appeared at Tokyo Idol Festival in the past, this section is aiming to discover a star of the future.

May 2018 (Projected):

Unique Idol group.

Unique idol group to be formed. Experts in the Idol industry will be featured . This will be a true live event to sharpen the girls talents.

June 2018 (projected):

All Idols aiming to get to Tokyo Idol Festival 2018 can be challenged. Definitely don’t miss this!

It will be extremely interesting to see any new talent that gets through to TIF2018, as it’s a great proving ground for Idols, and a key place for them to gather new fans. Meanwhile, we’re already thinking of what the line-up will be like.

Will we see bands that were conspicuously absent from last years event? In 2017, Passcode didn’t make an appearance, but neither did Dempagumi Inc. Considering Dempa’s recent line up changes, my money is on them attending.

We will certainly keep you informed.
